Right on the heels of the birthday of the 16th President of the United States, comes a trailer that re-imagines Abraham Lincoln as more than merely “The Great Emancipator”. Although it could be said that he’s emancipating vampires’ heads from their bodies.
Directed by Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted), and produced by Tim Burton, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter looks like it’s going to deliver exactly what it’s promised: A fast-paced, action packed, historically stunning film that takes itself very seriously — in spite of its massive “camp” potential. If this trailer is any indication of what to expect from the rest of the film, we’re in for an incredible ride.
The Civil War/Vampire Apocalyptic film opens on June 22nd.
