Just when you thought the day would never come, the June 10th Season 5 premiere of True Blood is inching closer and closer. Not only do we have a brand new teaser trailer, released earlier this month, but a behind the scenes video featuring Sookie, Alcide and Lafayette. The topic of conversation? The eagerly anticipated return of Russell Edgington, who’s apparently not taking the whole business of being buried alive very well. Should we expect any less?
True Blood returns this June not only with the return of a fan favorite, but will add (Law and Order SVU alum) Christopher Meloni to the mix as a “very powerful vampire”. Added to casting news and general speculation, the latest teaser trailer leaves us with all kinds of questions. Whose grave is Sookie digging? Is Tara really dead? Wait, Steve Newlin, anti-vampire church leader, is a vampire? And who is Eric kissing? Given the departures the show has already made from the source material (The Southern Vampire Diaries by Charlaine Harris), could this be the end for that never-ending Sookie/Eric/Bill triangle…or are they just making it a square?
