Hold onto your lollipops kiddies because Universal Studios has announced that Halloween Horror Nights will have a Trick ‘r Treat maze in both California and Florida!
The clever slasher film became an instant Halloween classic in 2009. (It was officially released in 2007 but only in select theaters and at a couple of film festivals) There was talk of annual installments being released creating one big spooky anthology, but it sadly didn’t happen, however Trick ‘r Treat 2 has been kinda-sorta in the works since 2013. Even if it doesn’t happen, knowing we will have the opportunity to wander the creepy little town of Warren Valley, Ohio and run into some of it’s upstanding residents like Principal Wilkins sounds great to me. I hope sinister little Sam won’t take offence if (… when) I cheer when he appears. I’m a big fan of his dedication to Halloween.
Last month, Universal Studios announced Stranger Things as its first official maze for 2018’s Halloween Horror Nights, so just with these two mazes known so far, I’d say we are in for an outstanding Halloween season at Universal!
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Orlando are select nights September 14 to November 3 and dates haven’t been announced yet for Hollywood, but stay tuned!
