Review:

I absolutely love haunted house movies.  I believe it’s because of all the tension, fear, and unexpected twists and turns throughout.  Not really sure why this movie is called The Pact, doesn’t seem to be explained or implied anywhere in the movie.  Maybe I just missed it, who knows.  Either way, it really didn’t affect my view of this movie.  This film had EVERYTHING I expect in a good haunted house movie.  There was so much tension in this movie and MANY jump in your seat moments.  The acting is very good and the story was so well written.  As the synopsis explains, after the death of her mother, Annie goes home to help her sister deal with all the aftermath of their mother’s death.  When she arrives at her childhood, her sister is missing and strange things begin to happen to her.  The key to this movie is that the director really understands what it takes to RUN, not walk, you through every suspenseful moment… which only adds to the tension!  The movie moves so well and each step is a little more knowledge to help unravel the mystery of what the entity wants.  This really is a well made movie that I highly recommend if you really enjoy the haunted house genre!  4 stars in my book!  Check out the trailer and see for yourself!
