Teen Wolf Season 3 Teaser Promo Released

Entertainment News Comments Off on Teen Wolf Season 3 Teaser Promo Released

It looks like Wolfies are in for a rough ride this season if the short promo video released today is anything to go by.

The disturbing season teaser, which aired during the MTV Movie Awards, shows lead character Scott McCall being drowned amid images of nature, tattoos and wolves.

The 30 second clip closes on the revelation that the person holding McCall under the water is Scott himself.

MTV’s official Teen Wolf Tumblr hinted at the nature of the season and promo vid when it announced the season’s tag line would be This Might Hurt last week.

Earlier in the year showrunner Jeff Davis said Tyler Posey’s real life tattoos would feature in the new season – they appear close up in the promo.

Tattoos are already part of the Teen Wolf mythology. Alpha werewolf Derek Hale, played by Tyler Hoechlin, has a large Triskelion tattoo on his back representing his family’s crest.

Fan responses to the teaser trailer on twitter were positive.

“I APPROVE OF SCOTT’S WOLFSBANE FUELED MAN/WOLFHOOD VISION QUEST OF REDEMPTION,” said twitter user theMoltenMoon after the video appeared on YouTube.

“I think it’s actually the wolf in Scott killing the human in Scott, but it would be awesome if they had one for every character,” was user MrStilinski’s comment, also on Twitter.

Speaking at Wondercon last month, Davis said the upcoming season included one of the darkest he had written – episode 6. “I was surprised they let it through,” he said.

Teen Wolf Season 3 airs in the US on June 3.
