Mother-Son Tattoos

Quite literally on a mission from God, the Winchesters and Kevin are determined to banish all demons from Earth. Before they can fully go full speed ahead, Kevin insists on checking up on his mother. After much convincing, Dean finally agrees to make a quick stop. When they arrive at her house in Neighbor, Michigan, they see that she appears to be fine. Dean points out that the mailman and gardener are demons, so they quickly kill them. Kevin’s mom, Linda, is ecstatic to see him. They catch Linda up to speed about why Kevin disappeared. Although finding out that her son is the prophet of God who is being chased by demons sounds like a bit of a stretch, she insists that she join them on their quest to close the gates of Hell forever. Sam and Dean have an insistence of their own…that she and Kevin get the protective Winchester seal tattooed on them for protection. They oblige.

Pawn Wars

The four travel to a bus station in Laramie, Wyoming, where Kevin has stashed away the 2nd tablet in a public locker. They become discouraged when they see that a diaper bag has been left in place of the ancient tablet. The station’s security guard tells them that a former employee by the name of Clem Smedley was caught stealing the contents out of all the lockers and that he is at the local county jail.

Sam and Dean pose as investigators to ask Clem where the tablet is. When Clem refuses to cooperate, Dean becomes overly aggressive and starts to flashback to a time in Purgatory when he ruthlessly questioned a demon about the whereabouts of Castiel and killed the demon violently. Dean snaps back to reality and finds that he has Clem up against a wall with a knife to his throat. Very aggressive behavior, but he succeeds at getting the location of where he left the tablet. They leave the prison and head to the pawn shop that Clem sold the tablet to. The owner of the pawn shop divulges the address of the person who bought the tablet to the Winchesters. When Sam, Dean, Kevin, and Linda arrive at the address, they are greeted by a fancy looking man wearing a top hat named Beau. Beau works for Plutus, God of Greed, and tells him that the tablet will be available to the highest bidder at a very exclusive auction for the supernatural.

Plan A-D

Dean, Sam, Linda, and Kevin arrive at the auction with Plan A. They are going to have Kevin read the tablet and jet out of there. When they realize that the tablet is off limits to read, they must think of a Plan B. Dean meets an angel named Samandriel who questions him about Castiel’s whereabouts. Dean flashes back to a time in Purgatory when he finally found Castiel. Cas admits to Dean that he purposely left Dean, but it was only to protect him. Dean snaps out of his daze, and is surprised that there are still some angels left that still believe that Castiel’s heart was always in the right place. The Winchester’s and Tran’s are startled to see Crowley at the auction, and Linda wastes no time to punch Crowley square in the face. Plan B is shot down because they realize that the $2,000 and Costco card is nothing compared to “Dwarven gold”.

The bidding for the tablet begins, and Crowley immediately offers $3 billion dollars. Samandriel offers the Mona Lisa. Crowley then offers “the real Mona Lisa…where she is topless.” Samandriel then bids Vatican City. Crowley quickly offers Alaska, and then the Moon. When Beau announces that they have not yet met their reserved price, he sweetens the deal by adding Kevin as a package deal. We then see that Kevin is chained. Linda immediately offers her 401K and her house…and her soul. Crowley then offers his soul, but that is a joke because he has no soul. Then he boasts that he can produce a million souls, but Plutus reminds him that it’s not the quantity, but rather the sacrifice. Plutus accepts the deal.

Self-Sacrifice

Linda wonders if losing her soul will hurt, and Dean answers, “Probably.” She asks if she will die, and Sam answers, “No, but you will wish you were dead.” Samandriel manages to meet with Linda alone and offers to protect Kevin, but she refuses the offer. The time comes for Linda to be offered over to Plutus, when Dean notices that her protective tattoo has been burned off. Crowley has possessed her body. Beau made a deal with Crowley. Beau then kills Plutus, and then Sam kills off Beau with Thor’s hammer. Crowley jumps out of Linda’s body and tells everyone that while he was in Linda’s head, he was able to see who Kevin’s father is and it is rather scandalous. Crowley then takes off with the tablet.

The Winchester’s are ready to chase after Crowley and protect Kevin and Linda, but Kevin is upset that Dean was about to kill Linda when Crowley was in her body. The brother’s give Kevin a moment alone with his mother for some privacy, but when they come back they realize that Kevin has taken off with her. Kevin left a note expressing that he feels like he is of no use to Dean because he does not have the tablet anymore, and when people are of no use to Dean he kills them. Dean let’s that statement rattle around in his mind while he flashes back to his time in Purgatory. We see Castiel desperately screaming Dean’s name for help. Perhaps Kevin is right.

Quotable Quotes:

Linda to Kevin: “Prophet of the Lord, huh? It does have a nice ring to it.”

Dean to Beau: “Well, thank you, Mr. Peanut!”

Dean: “That’s Plutus? What…God of the candy isle?”

Castiel to Dean: “No, I’m perfectly sane. But then 94% of psychotics think they’re perfectly sane.”

Dean to Castiel: “I prayed to you Cas! Every night!”

Crowley to Dean: “Maybe you should try Plan D, for Dumbass.”

Plutus to Crowley: “It’s not about the quantity chief. It’s about the sacrifice.”
