SDCC 2017: Top Horror Must-Sees

Entertainment News Comments Off on SDCC 2017: Top Horror Must-Sees

It’s well known that San Diego Comic Con has something for everyone (and then some!), and that definitely includes horror fans.

From panels to signings to special installations set up outside the convention center (the “SDCC Campus” for the uninitiated), lovers of the dark and spooky had plenty to look forward to at SDCC 2017.

Here is a look at some of the top must-sees for horror fans from SDCC 2017:

The Walking Dead panel: Fans had a chance to hear the cast and crew discuss the gory lowdown on this past season, hear about the filming of the 100th episode and find out what’s in store for season 8. The season 8 trailer was also released to much fanfare.

Supernatural panel: Filming just started on the 13th season of the now longest running fantasy series in American television history and the guys couldn’t be more excited. It is well known in the SDCC-verse that the Winchesters (along with Cas and Crowley) put on one of the most entertaining panels around and 2017 didn’t disappoint as Kansas took the stage to open with a live performance of “Carry On Wayward Son.”

IT VR Experience: A few lucky ( Or unlucky? Depends on how afraid of clowns you are, I suppose) had the opportunity to take part in a terrifying VR installation on a school bus that delved into the world of everyone’s best pal, the uber terrifying Pennywise the Clown.

American Horror Story Zoetrope: Fans of the series absolutely HAD TO stop by the FXhibition to experience AHS in a whole new way. Fans were encouraged to pay close attention- you just might catch hints as to what is going on next season! If you missed the Zoetrope, FX projected a brief teaser with the theme on the waterfront. The American Horror Story theme for season 7: Cult.

Ghost Wars panel: Syfy’s upcoming thriller is not only packed with notable stars (Vincent D’Onofiro, Kim Coates and Meat Loaf, to name a few) but from what we know so far, it’s packed with paranormal action and psychological thriller goodness.

Channel Zero: No End House Screening: SDCC attendees had the opportunity to watch the premiere of the latest Channel Zero series months before it airs on Syfy. If you are a fan of Creepypasta then you know No End House is going to be amazing!

Horror fans had a lot to experience at SDCC 2017, but the fun is just beginning as all of these new movies and shows move closer to their premieres!
