SDCC 2013: Teen Wolf News on Danny, and a Special Panel Surprise

Entertainment News, San Diego Comic Con Comments Off on SDCC 2013: Teen Wolf News on Danny, and a Special Panel Surprise

by Kylie Klein:

Questions at the Teen Wolf Comic Con panel started with a treat for fans of the show’s resident lacrosse hottie, Danny.

First in line to quiz the stars if the show was a fan in full manga character cosplay, complete with mask, hood and white contact lenses.

At the panel moderator’s request the fan took off his mask before asking his question, revealing a very familiar face.

Actor Keahu Kahuanui, Danny himself, attending the Con independently of the show, was planted at the front if the question queue as a treat for fans and his co-stars.

His question?

“Why isn’t Danny on the panel?”

During the fan questions one fan asked if the character Danny (Keahu Kahuanui) would play a bigger role in the supernatural side of the story.

Davis said Danny would play much bigger role in the winter season, with new mythologies also coming into play.

He said they would introduce a new character, Kira, and they were currently casting the role looking for an Asian American female.

“The show will be heading into more of a ‘kitstune’ myth. The shape shifter, Werefox trickster thing,” he said.

There would be a heavy Asian influence on the second half of the season, Davis said, and a “new direction for beacon hills”.
