New clip from The Walking Dead shows Eugene and Negan

In a new clip for this week’s episode of The Walking Dead, Eugene and his jar of pickles get a good look at Lucille.

It has been a while since we’ve seen Eugene on The Walking Dead. In fact, we haven’t seen him since the midseason finale when Rosita tried to shoot Negan and the bullet ended up hitting Lucille instead. Rosita’s actions caused a chain reaction that led to Olivia being killed and Eugene being taken prisoner.

In this brand new clip of the upcoming “Hostiles and Calamities” episode of The Walking Dead, Eugene arrives at the Sanctuary and is clearly terrified. He’s holding that random jar of pickles for dear life. Negan asks him if he really is a “smarty pants” and Eugene assures him that he is, in that perfectly Eugene way of his.

When Negan found out that Eugene could make bullets, it likely saved Eugene’s life. Eugene’s skills are something that could be very valuable for the Saviors, and Negan will protect him for that reason. In fact, aside from the Sanctuary’s doctor, Eugene may be a Sanctuary VIP.
