Fans of the television series Game of Thrones and its source material, A Song of Ice and Fire, by George R.R. Martin, were treated this week to a brand new chapter from the forthcoming installment to the series, the sixth book entitled The Winds of Winter. The chapter is from the perspective of Arianne Martell, Princess of Dorne — first mentioned in A Storm of Swords, and incorporated directly within the story of A Feast for Crows.
But instead of building upon the chapter he released last year, from the perspective of Theon Greyjoy, this chapter is meant to replace it. In fact, all previous links to Theon’s chapter now redirect to Arianne.
No official publication date has been set for The Winds of Winter.
