Director of “The Beast” Confirms Feature Adaptation in The Works

Entertainment News Comments Off on Director of “The Beast” Confirms Feature Adaptation in The Works

by Michele Pearson:

Director Peter Dukes has confirmed that his short film “The Beast”, starring Bill Oberst Jr, will in fact be adapted into a feature length film.  Dukes has also confirmed that Oberst Jr is once again attached to the project.

The Beast, a new take on the classic werewolf film, tells the story of a father’s agonizing choice between the safety of his village and the life of his only son after his boy becomes a werewolf.  Focusing more on the relationships between the characters than just being another “creature movie”, this short film has potential success as a feature film, especially if Bill Oberst Jr will be returning in the lead role.

Peter Dukes has directed fourteen short films and it appears that this will be his first feature.  Bill Oberst Jr is the star of films Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies and Children of Sorrow and is well known as the Facebook Stalker in the Emmy award winning short Take This Lollipop.  When asked about the feature adaptation, Bill said “I am eager to work with Peter Dukes again.  The Beast short is one of my personal favorites among the things I have done.  I am proud of my work in it and can look without cringing, which is rare!”
