Arrow continues to be consistently good.

This week’s episode, “Salvation,” brought a lot to the table… including a Flash joke. Did anyone else hear it? Anyway, the main plot focused on a man who goes by the name of The Savior. The Savior wants to rid the city of the type of people who gunned down his wife. These people include someone on Oliver’s list and Roy Harper. The Savior takes his victims to an underground subway and forces them to confess their wrongdoings. Here’s where things get interesting–he broadcasts the whole thing via a live internet feed. Once Oliver finds the Savior’s location he, as Digg puts it, “Hoods up” and tries to stop the madness.

When it comes to the island, the story is progressing nicely.  Last week’s episode left us wondering if Oliver and Slade could make a deal with Fyers to get off the island. This week, we learn that their plan was spoiled by Fyers and his men. We also see more of Yao Fei’s daughter, Shado, who was introduced in “The Odyssey” episode last month.

Meanwhile, back in Starling City, there are a couple more issues that need to be discussed:

First, the continuation of the Dinah/Quentin/Laurel storyline regarding the “survival” of Sarah. Laurel learns that her mother and father are working together in perfect harmony in locating Sarah. This doesn’t seem to sit well with Laurel. She decides to take matters into her own hands and reaches out to a friend for help. Laurel ends up locating the woman in the picture that the family believes may be Sarah. It turns out that it isn’t Sarah, proving that she did die.

It is also revealed that Dinah saw Sarah packing for her trip with Oliver. Dinah tells Quentin and Laurel that she tried to stop her but instead allowed her to follow her heart. Dinah breaks down crying saying that she is responsible for her daughter’s death.

The second storyline that was continued this week dealt with the backlash from the “Dead to Rights” episode which saw Malcolm Merlyn get shot. At the end of that episode, Malcolm vowed to find out who was behind his attack. This week, he got closer and closer to finding the answer to his question. As this is going on, Moira, scared for her safety, turns on her partner and tells Malcolm that he was behind it. Now there is even more blood on her hands.

Overall, I’d say that “Salvation” was a very good episode. The ending is sure to have a lasting effect for the remainder of the season as Oliver learns something about his special list that could help answer a lot of questions.

Tune in next week–same Arrow time, same Arrow channel to see the return of “The Count”  and his drug Vertigo. Here is a preview of “Unfinished Business.”
