WARNING: This article contains spoilers.

By the end of “Darkness on the Edge of Town,” Oliver finds himself in a very vulnerable position.

The events that lead up to the shocking ending revolve around Oliver, Diggle, and Felicty attempting to stop a seismic device from leveling The Glades. After Oliver confronts Malcolm Meryln for being the driving force behind the whole thing, he notifies his best friend’s father that he has “failed this city”. Unfortunately for Oliver, things don’t go as planned, and he appears to have met his match.

Aside from confronting his disapproval towards Malcolm, Oliver did the opposite towards Laurel–as the two rekindle the romance they once had. Little do they know, Tommy witnessed everything. Could this be the tipping point for a very ugly love triangle? I guess we’ll have to wait and find out. But let’s stick to the superhero stuff.

There was one scene in particular in this episode where I said to myself, “That is something you would see out of a comic book…or Star Wars movie (Episode IV: A New Hope).” That scene was when Oliver and Felicity were in an elevator shaft and Oliver used a grappling gun to swing himself and Felicity from one area to the next.

Another Queen family member had an important moment happen: Walter ends up asking Moira for a divorce. Can you blame the guy?

In the Island flashback scenes, we learn what Fyers true plan is and how is he going to achieve it.

Next week is the season finale, where I’m sure all the loose ends will be tied up… or we could be left with a cliffhanger. Either way, it has been a great season, and I will certainly be tuning in to see what happens.

See you next time, Arrow Heads.
