Zombie A.C.R.E.S. is an interconnected series of stories focusing on a small group of well-developed characters who are all going through a unifying incident: an isolated outbreak of zombies in Seattle.  Since William Lohman came out as a thinking, feeling member of the walking dead on national television and revealed the existence of Zombie A.C.R.E.S. (Animated Corpses Reintegration Experimental Subdivision, a top secret zombie halfway house of sorts), zombies have moved out of the world’s nightmares and into real life.  Roslun Global, the creator of the drug designed to make death obsolete, is disturbingly silent on the subject.  Anonymous claims that the drug is meant for the betterment of mankind have not been substantiated by Roslun, nor have the claims that the research has potential military application been refuted.  But make no mistake, Richard Roslun, the company’s CEO, has everything under control, and will do whatever it takes to stay in control, even if it means silencing the innocent family of one escaped victim.

AiZ: Alice in Zombieland is going to be an eBook that centers around two members of that family:  One abducted by Roslun’s security force and subjected to the horrors behind the Zombie A.C.R.E.S. fence, the other fighting against all odds to get into the facility and bring her little sister out alive.  How far into hell would you go to save someone you love?  What concessions would you make to the few for the safety of the many?  Join Alice, her sister Gee, and a traumatized man named Sam as they discover the secrets and the monsters that reside in Zombie A.C.R.E.S.!

This story is going to be released in October and will coincide with a multi-part comic based on it. This is a five part comic series that will be sold through our online Merch Store on a monthly basis. To launch this comic line we are releasing a hard copy, limited edition run of the first issue of this unique series. AiZ: Alice in Zombieland #1 ZomBcon Edition will have a print run of only 200 sequentially numbered copies. We are calling it the ZomBcon issue because we are launching the Alice in Zombieland event at the largest zombie convention in America – the Seattle ZomBcon in October.

These limited edition copies will not only be numbered and be sold exclusively at ZomBcon (and to backers at certain levels), but they will have different cover art than the regular version we sell online and have an added five page bonus story. Bruce Campbell vs The ACRES is a stand alone story that will not be released anywhere else – text or comic form. Bruce Campbell is not only a favorite among zombie fans but may also be a featured guest at ZomBcon this year. This will bring the inside page count of this limited edition Zombie ACRES comic to 27.

The money we are requesting will go for the printing of the 200 limited edition ZomBcon issues, the fee for a booth at ZomBcon, few promotional items for our booth, and any fees associated with this fundraising effort. Any funds over our goal will go to purchase items from our online shop to sell at ZomBcon. None of the money will go to pay any member that is working on AiZ. This is strictly a passion project that each and every person working on it feels very strongly about.
